If you’ve got a cool $2.3 million, you can purchase Cameron Frye’s house from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (yes, the one with the Ferrari). Known officially as the Ben Rose House – the building was constructed in 1953 and designed by revered architects A. James Speyer and David Haid. Mr. Ben Rose lived there until his death in 2004, and his wife lived there until her death earlier this year. Clearly this house served them well.
The property includes two buildings (one is the infamous garage/ art gallery) – and yes, it sits out over a ravine. Brilliant!

Oh my god that’s amazing. Though sad to see that the realtor wasn’t actually Mrs Bueller.
Bueller? Bueller?? Crazy how the house probably looks the same as it did 50 years ago.
Ferris has got to be one of the best films. “Life moves pretty fast, if you don’t stop and look around once in a while…”* (*or similar) Bueller, Bueller, Bueller…etc. – all great lines.
Just came across this home which I spent time in when I was around 12 years old. It belonged to the parents of my older sister’s ex-husbancd Robert Rose, son of Ben Rose and a fabric designer at his fathers fabric manufacturer….my favorite thing back then was that it had fauna lights as opposed to sky lights…there were windows in the floor since it was raised off the ground and one could watch families of raccoons meander by! Made a real impression on me as I still OVE great design! Rob, if you read this- hello from Farin and sorry to hear about your mom and dad…Peace.
Meant to write LOVE, but OVE can work I suppose!
Ben Rose was my father in law! I spent many wonderful times in this house and i hope whoever lives there now is enjoying the care with which it was build and taken care of. Seeing these pictures brings back so many memories!
