Artist Rirkrit Tiravanija’s retreat in Chiang Mai, Thailand is pretty much the ultimate in indoor-outdoor living. Designed by young Thai architect, Aroon Puritat (in cooperation with Tiravanija) – the house was conceived with a very loose brief. One of the only parameters was to retain the trees on the property, which gives the house a truly organic, meandering shape. For me, this is the ultimate combination of some fantastic elements – namely wood, polished concrete and glass. I think I could live here… very very happily!

Thanks David. I’m a daily reader of yours as well… Good to get some perspective from 5000 miles away!
I look at your blog every day, Guy. Love everything about it! The stacking tables that look like file folders are so clever. Have you read about a woman named Garland in Bali who promotes the use of bamboo for a myriad of uses? I’ve read about her several times.
Her name is Linda Garland.

I’m on it… and thanks!
