Sean MacPherson‘s West Village home is surprisingly charming and liveable. For some reason, I assumed the hotelier (heard of the Maritime, the Bowery Hotel or the Waverly Inn?) would have a flashier place… I wonder why?! In any case, his 1840′s house (formerly a kosher butcher shop) is what I’d call ‘stylishly comfortable’. This continued pendulum swing away from glass boxes and slick minimalism is refreshing. Bring on the junk!
