Lanterne Marine

Wow – these large, hand-blown glass vases from BarberOsgerby for Venini are truly beautiful.  Apparently, they’re inspired by the lanterns on the boats in the Venetian Lagoon – which the designers spotted on a trip to visit Venini’s workshop on Murano. I came across these really nice ceramics from the design collective, The New English at 100% Design. I particularly like the Anatomica set (by Lisa Turner) and Inkhead set (by Florian Hutter). Inkhead is inspired by the art of tattoos.  Excellent – and beautiful, no?
