Ally Capellino for Liberty

I don’t post a lot about fashion – but I just had to share this new man bag from Ally Capellino for Liberty.  I would marry this bag and love it forever and ever. Handle as well as rucksack straps?  Yuh-huh.  Navy leather?!  Oh, yes.  Liberty print lining?!?  Perfection. Via Selectism.

Arch 389

Arch 389 is a new vintage furniture shop next to the London Fields train station.  They’ve got a great mix of inventory (mid-century furniture, industrial lighting, antique fireplaces) as well as surprising random items like the horsehoe board below. Definitely worth a visit next time you’re at Broadway Market.

Bricked up fire

I really like this bricked up fire… but why are there no functioning fireplaces in New York?  Health and safety I presume?? I feel blessed with my two working fireplaces in London… although I hope I don’t burn the whole house down. Leigh Davis for the NY Times.
