Splurged on these 19th century ebay chairs yesterday. We went for something traditional, mainly to avoid the house turning into a museum of mid-century design. They look a bit peachy in these images – but I think they’re actually more beige. Thoughts?

Check out this Ercol daybed on ebay – ‘buy it now’ for £399. This is a fantastic deal – these sofa’s are often £800 and up. Fashion designer and champion of post-war modern design, Margaret Howell, sells new and reconditioned Ercol at her shop on Wigmore Street – a true testament to their timelessness.
